For your Weebly Government page, you will be writing a 5 paragraph essay, focused on the type of government system you will have in your civilization. You should type your essay in a Google Doc and then copy and paste the essay into your Weebly when you are ready to submit it. Please follow the format and directions below to write your essay:

• Introduce the name of your government system (you must choose a real government type)
• Explain what your government type is (definition)
• Write 1-3 sentences that state:
  • Hierarchy of leadership (President, dictator, parliament, voters, etc.? In what order are people ranked?)
  • Citizen involvement (voting rights)
  • Transfer of Power (Who will be the next leader? How is this decided?)

BODY Paragraph 2: Hierarchy of Leadership

• Who is in charge?
• What is the hierarchy of the people in your civilization (the Egyptian social structure pyramid is an example of a hierarchy)?
• How are laws decided? Are there laws? What are they?

BODY Paragraph 3: Citizen Involvement Explanation

• Do people get to vote? Who can vote, if so?
• How are the votes counted (majority, representation, not at all, etc.)?

• Who is your leader?
• How did they become the leader?
• How is a new leader decided?

• What are the benefits of your government system for your civilization (what is great about it)?
• What are some downfalls of your government system for your civilization (what would make it better)?
